Nominate a Deserving Colleague for a MGPV Award!
The Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Petrology and Volcanology Division of GSA presents two awards annually at the national GSA meeting: the Distinguished Geologic Career Award and the Early Career Award. A special criterion for these awards is outstanding research including geologic field study in addition to other methods of investigation in one or more of the MGPV disciplines.
Nominations are open now through March 31, 2020. A list of past awardees and links to nomination criteria and instructions can be found on the MGPV webpage:

Nominations require one nomination letter, three letters of support, and the nominee’s CV.
If you know an early or advanced career geoscientist who you believe deserves one of these honors, the MGPV Executive Committee urges you to send a nomination!
